Drip (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates the Drip mobile application and the website at coffeedrip.co.nz. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create a Drip account we collect your name, email address, and password. Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text.
Cafe account information. If you register as a cafe, we additionally collect your business address so customers can find you.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or bank details. Stripe may collect information necessary to process your payment in accordance with their privacy policy.
Usage data. We may collect basic technical data such as device type, operating system version, and app interaction data to maintain and improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Drip service
- Process subscriptions and payments
- Send transactional communications such as receipts and subscription updates
- Respond to your support requests
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising or share it with third-party advertisers.
3. Third-Party Services
Stripe. We use Stripe to process payments. When you make a purchase, Stripe receives your payment information directly. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
Apple. The Drip app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect information as described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
We do not share your data with any third-party analytics, AI, or advertising services.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.
We may retain certain records (such as payment transaction history) for longer periods where required by law, including tax and financial reporting obligations.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
- Withdraw your consent at any time

6. Children’s Privacy
Drip is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of Drip after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
